Well, I’m still buzzing! I packed the car to the roof with bubble wrap and took a little corner of the studio along to the spring ceramics market at Claire’s House Pottery in Bury St Edmunds, and what a Sunday it turned out to be.
If you’ve never been, it’s a proper community day: tables and tables of gorgeous ceramics, plus cakes, locally roasted coffee, music, and the chance to have a nose around the studio. Free entry, free parking, accessible and dog friendly. It was busy from the moment the doors opened at ten.
A table full of personality
Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by, said hello, and gave one of my little characters a new home. The Doggos came along for the day, and a few makes I’d been quietly hoarding in the studio finally found their people.
Market days feel a bit like sending little friends off into the world. Nerve-wracking and joyful all at once.
If a day like this has you itching to get your hands muddy, do go and say hello to the team at Claire’s House Pottery. They’re lovely to chat to about classes, pot painting, parties and events, market or no market.
If we met on Sunday, thank you, truly. If you missed it, don’t worry, the next drop lands in the shop soon and there’ll be more market dates before long. Did you take one of my makes home? I’d love to see where it’s living!
